Being Present

Does your mind often wander during the day? Do you find yourself worrying about the future or fretting over the past? Are you spending your time worrying about things that are out of your control? If your answer is ‘yes’, ‘yes’ and ‘definitely yes’, then it’s time to reassess those thoughts and bring yourself firmly back into the present.

Being present is so important in our day to day lives. It’s one of the reasons that practising meditation and mindfulness is so effective. It helps to quieten our thoughts and bring focus to the things that really matter – the here and now.

If you have a very busy mind or quite an anxious personality, taking control of your thoughts in this way can seem like a daunting task, but don’t panic, we’re here to help!

Once you get used to the idea of coming back to your breath to centre yourself and be present, you’ll find that you naturally start to do it when you notice your internal chatter going into overdrive or your mind straying from the moment.

This new found sense of presence will benefit all aspects of your life, from relationships to work. You’ll communicate better whilst feeling more open and less stressed. Say goodbye to overthinking and embrace your playful side as you being to live in the moment.

“The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, nor to worry about the future, but to live the present moment wisely and earnestly.” – Buddha
