Graduate Showcase: Mike Callahan – Wellbeing Coach for Young People
Meet Mike Callahan – With over thirty years experience working with young people in an educational setting, as a Wellbeing Coach, Mike supports and facilitates young people in their journey to be the best version of themselves.
At Wellbeing Pathways, Mike strives to enable and empower children and young people by working with them through offering a programme of strategies, techniques and tools that will encourage and enhance growth. This equips them on their journey to be well-rounded and balanced individuals.
Whether neurotypical or neurodiverse, they recognise each person is a unique individual and he/she/they are celebrated as such. Each programme is devised to be unique to the individual and is monitored and amended as progress is made.
As well as working with individuals on a 1:1 basis, Mike works with families in setting boundaries and creating acceptable solutions. He also visits schools for sessions, half-days or full days and provides a range of age-appropriate content, including storytelling, mindfulness, meditation and role play.
As Sadhguru said, ‘Our children are the future of this world. It’s not about what we can get out of them. It’s about how we can empower them’. How true!
